BA Admission 2026: Registration portals are currently open for the BA Admission for the academic year 2026-27 at multiple universities. Bachelor of Arts is the full form of BA. It is a 3 year undergraduate degree program which one can pursue in distance, part-time, regular and online mode after completing 12th from a recognized board. Bachelor of Arts programs can be pursued in a variety of disciplines such as Psychology, History, English, Geography, Sociology, Political Science. This program will help you gain critical thinking, problem solving, research skills, and communication. After completing a Bachelor degree in arts, you can either start your career or pursue higher education like MA, PG diploma or other certificate course. Average program fee of BA program in India is approx INR 2,000 to INR 30,000 per year with application fee of INR 300 to INR 1200. What is a BA Program?

BA or Bachelor of Arts is a 3-4 year undergraduate program offered by many universities. Some universities or institutes may require entrance exams like CUET UG, LPU NEST, JNUEE. BA degree focuses on liberal arts, humanities and social sciences. It offers broad education aimed at developing communication skills, critical thinking and analytical skills. Some common subjects included in this course are sociology, political science, history and many more. It generally requires completion of 12th from a recognized board such as CBSE, ICSE with minimum 50% of marks.

BA Admission for 2026 are now open. Admissions are based on merit and entrance exams. Students should have completed their 12th with at least 50% of marks from a recognized board. Common entrance exams conducted by colleges are CUET UG, IPU CET, depending upon the college or university you are going to enrol in. Eligibility for BA Admission

Bachelor of Arts generally requires candidates to have passed 12th from a recognized board with minimum marks of 50%. Also many colleges will allow students to study in the BA program from Commerce, Science and Arts discipline. There is no minimum or maximum age requirement needed for admission.

Admission Process for BA Admission

BA admission generally takes place online, also some universities may conduct CUET UG program. Firstly, candidates are required to search for a college or university in which they are interested in studying for a BA program. Start by going through its official website, filling out an application form, upload documents, pay registration fee and submit your application before the last date.

Here are the steps mentioned for admission procedure:-

Step 1: Research for a college or university according to your preference and go through its official website

Step 2: Fill out the registration form with username, provide active phone number and email id 

Step 3: After registration you will receive credentials like username and password in your registered email and phone number

Step 4: Sign in to your admission account with username/password and fill out the application form with important information like address, education qualification, etc

Step 5: Upload your necessary documents like identity proof, qualification certificates, passport size photograph and signature

Step 6: Before proceeding to a next step make sure to check all your details mentioned in application

Step 7: Pay application fee of approx INR 300 to INR 1200 by provided options of payment (debit/credit card, bank transfer, netbanking)

Step 8: After completing all steps submit your application and wait for university or institute to check or verify all your documents and application form 

Step 9: After getting shortlisted you will be called for counseling and seat allocation process

BA Entrance Exams 2026

Bachelor of Arts entrance exam of 2026 is highlighted by CUET UG for central universities and other major exams are IPU CET, LPU NEST, JMI Entrance test. All these national and university level entrance tests ensure a fair and transparent admission process.

1. CUET UG: National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts Common University Entrance Test for UG programs for all central level universities such as Jamia Millia Islamia, JNU, Delhi University and many more.

BA Admission Course Fee Structure in India

The fee structure of a Bachelor of Arts depends upon the university or mode of education you have selected to study. Generally fees of Private Universities are higher than Government universities. Typically it may range from INR 5,000 to INR 5 lakhs. Fee structure also includes some additional fees like registration, examination,study material or assignment.

1. Public/Government Universities: These universities are highly affordable with a total fee range from INR 10,000 to 20,000 in total. 

2. Deemed and Private Universities: Fee structures are higher for BA programs as compared to government universities due to its infrastructure and other facilities. Fees may range from INR 30,000 to INR 2 Lakh per annum.
