MEd Admission 2026: Master of Education (M.Ed.) is a 2 year master degree program splitted into 4 semesters. It is mainly designed for students who want to make their career in education, such as administrators, teachers and principals. Applicants can pursue the MEd program after finishing their B Ed course (Bachelor of Education) from a recognized university with a minimum score of 50%. The M.Ed program syllabus consists of practical skills, theoretical knowledge, and research capabilities in multiple areas of the education field. Core subjects included in the Master of Education course are Research Methodology, Curriculum Development, Educational Technology, Special Education, Educational Administration and Management, and Educational Psychology. Eligibility for MEd Admission 2026

Admission to master of program generally requires a Bachelor Degree of Education from a recognized university. Minimum marks of 50% is mandatory for admission. Students must pass entrance tests like MHT-CET, CUET-PG, or any other university entrance examination. There is specifically no age limit for admission. Work experience is always not mandatory but can be preferred by some universities. 

1. Academic Qualification: Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), B.A.-B.Ed., B.Sc.-B.Ed., or B.El.Ed. with at least 50% to 55% aggregate marks.

2. Entrance Exams: Applicants are required to appear in entrance exam like:-

  • CUET PG (Common University Entrance Test - Postgraduate)

  • IGNOU MEd Entrance Exam

  • MHT-CET / PERA-CET (for specific regional universities)

3. Age Limit: There is no specific age restriction, while some universities or colleges may set their own limits.

Admission process for Master of Education program involves multiple steps like researching for a college, give entrance exam if required, register yourself in official website, fill admission form, upload scanned documents, pay admission fee and submit your application. Admissions are frequently based on merit or entrance tests. 

  • Step 1: Research for a college or university in which you want to study for a Master of Education program. Check for admission announcement in official portal
  • Step 2: Go to the official website of selected institute or college and register there if you are a new candidate
  • Step 3: Start your registration process by providing an active mobile number and email address with basic general information 
  • Step 4: Sign in to your admission portal by using credentials like (username and password) received after successful registration

Master of Education M.Ed admission requires an undergraduate degree of B.Ed degree. Minimum score of 50% is mandatory for general category and 5% relaxation for reserved category students.
