BSc MLT Admission: Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Technology is an undergraduate degree program that provides an in-depth understanding of microbiology, pathology, immunology, and haematology. BSc MLT admissions are currently ongoing at JIPMER, Jamia Hamdard, AIIMS, and many other colleges for the 2026-27 academic year.  The course often takes 3 years to complete plus a 1-year mandatory internship.

To be eligible for the BSc MLT Admission, candidates generally need to have completed their senior secondary education (10+2) with 50% marks in PCB/PCM. The selection process for BSc MLT is based on the merit score of the previous qualifying examination, but there are many universities that conduct entrance tests for admission. 

The last date for submission of application forms is expected to be 15 August 2026, so all the interested students are requested to apply before the deadline. The fee range of this program is starting from INR 12,000 to INR 2.10 lakh per year.

Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) is an undergraduate (UG) course. The duration of this program is 4 years, which includes a 1-year compulsory internship. Eligibility for BSc MLT Admission 

Before applying for BSc MLT admission, all interested students are required to meet the basic eligibility criteria. 

1. Academic Qualification: To pursue the BSc MLT course is it required to complete the senior secondary education (10+2) or an equivalent examination from any recognized board. 

 2. Stream Preference: It is compulsory  to have studied Science subjects at 10+2 level including Physics, Chemistry,  and Biology. 

 3. Marks Required: Securing at least 50% to 55% aggregate marks is mandatory to take BSc MLT admission. However universities also provide 5% relaxation in marks to the SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates. 

 4. Selection Criteria: The selection criteria varies depending on the university. Some universities provide admission directly  while some require students to appear for the entrance exams like CUET, IPU CET etc. 

5. Age Limit: The minimum age limit set for admission is that the students must be 17 years old but there is no maximum age limit set for the BSc MLT admission. 

BSc MLT Admission Procedure: Step by Step 

Universities like Jamia Hamdard University and AIIMS have started their BSc MLT admission procedure for the 2026-27 academic year. Interested students are required to visit their desired university’ website and check all the requirements carefully. Candidates must follow below mentioned steps to complete the application form.

 Step 2: Registration: Register with your name, mobile number, email address and other required details. 

 Step 3: Log In: Sign in back with your credentials (if needed)

 Step 4: Choose Program: Select the BSc MLT course from the given list. 

 Step 5: Fill Application Form: Fill out the online application form by entering your personal details, contact details, educational details, etc.
